39th Annual Apex PeakFest
When: May 4th
Where: Historic Downtown Apex
What: The largest public celebration in Apex, PeakFest features live music, work from local artists, kids’ activities, tons of local food, and much more! Over 22,000 guests are expected to attend, and this year could be the biggest celebration yet.
5th Annual Midtown Music Fest
When: May 4th
Where: North Hills
What: An all-day festival full of live music, craft beer, local food, and art vendors, the Midtown Music Fest has quickly become one of the most popular events in North Raleigh. The headliner for this year is Rayland Baxter and Guster, and other entertainment will include dancers, flame throwers, stilt walkers, and more!
Thrive NC
When: May 9th – 10th
Where: City Market, Downtown Raleigh
What: Thrive NC is the premier food festival event of the season. Bringing together over 60 different food and drink vendors from around the city, the Thrive event will also feature live music and chef demonstrations. Plus, all ticket proceeds will go towards supporting local non-profits.
Spring Into the Arts Walk 2019
When: May 11th
Where: 15 E. Fourth St., Wendell
What: If you find yourself around Wendell this month, make sure you check out the Spring Into the Arts Walk! Downtown Wendell’s streets will be filled with vendors, artists, and activities, from sidewalk chalk demonstrations to arts and crafts shows.
Got to Be NC Festival
When: May 17th – 19th
Where: North Carolina State Fairgrounds
What: Do you love North Carolina and/or supporting local businesses (and free admission)? The Got to Be NC Festival brings together a variety of vendors from around the state, all focused on providing North Carolina-based goods. Whether it’s breweries, wineries, restaurants, artwork, or anything in between, you’ll find all of the best options in the state here!
Plus, there will also be brand new attractions this year, like the Cowboy Circus, Feeder Pigs, and the Soap Bubble Circus.
Artsplosure
When: May 18th – 19th
Where: Downtown Raleigh
What: Celebrating its 40th year of operation, Artsplosure is a family-friendly festival that rings in spring in the Triangle. Over the years, the event has received local, statewide, and national attention for its popularity, and this year is sure to be one of the best! Come out for live music, art vendors, food and drinks, kids’ events, and more.
