Happy Halloween: the Spookiest Holiday Events in the Triangle

Put on your best costume, deck the halls with cobwebs, and prepare for a frighteningly good time! With the 31st just around the corner, now’s the perfect time to make your Halloween and Halloweekend plans.

Here are the can’t-miss spooky happenings going on over the next week around the Triangle!

Halloween Spooktacular

When: October 24th, 4:30pm – 8pm

Where: Joyner Park Community Center, Wake Forest

What: A free event predominantly for ages 12 and under, the Halloween Spooktacular will be filled with fun, including face paintings, games, activities, giveaways, and more. If you want to celebrate Halloween a little early, this is your chance!

4th Annual Zombiepalooza

When: October 25th, 7pm

Where: The Cary Theater

What: Zombies will descend upon Cary at the annual Zombiepalooza celebration! The event will feature short zombie films made by local filmmakers, all screened at the outdoor downtown location.

Halloween at Mordecai Historic Park

When: October 26th, 1pm – 4pm

Where: Mordecai Historic Park

What: The Mordecai Historic Park has a long history of spooky happenings—it’s even considered to be one of the most haunted places in Raleigh! Every Halloween, the park embraces its spooky roots and hosts the Haunted Mordecai Festival, filled with food, games, and fun. There’s also a paranormal investigation group on-site to report any ghostly findings!

In addition to the festival, once night falls you can also enjoy lantern tours and a haunted trolley ride.

Dorothea Dix Halloween Double Feature

When: October 26th, 6pm

Where: Dorothea Dix Park

What: Get in the holiday spirit at the Dorothea Dix Double Feature! There will be two different showings for the night—a family feature and an adult feature—so you can pick and choose or go to both. First up is The Addams Family at 6:30pm, followed by Scream at 8:15pm. Food trucks will be on-site for dinner and snacks!

Kooky Spooky Halloween Party

When: October 26th, 6pm – 8:30pm

Where: Marbles Kids Museum

What: It’s family-friendly fun after dark at the Marbles’ Kooky Spooky Halloween Party! You won’t want to miss out on special events like Ghoul School, Mad Scientist Lab, and the Monster Mash Dance Party.

Witches’ Night Out on Salem St

When: October 26th, 5pm -9pm

Where: Salem Street, Apex

What: Downtown Apex comes alive with vendors, food, drinks, and frights for the Witches’ Night Out! Tons of local shops and restaurants will be offering special deals all night long, and be sure to come out the following day for downtown trick-or-treating!

Halloween Trick-or-Treating
