If you’re ready to embrace fast-paced city living with a little Southern flair, Downtown Raleigh is the place for you. Raleigh’s historic yet modern downtown district features endless museums, restaurants, and locally owned shops, as well as a thriving real estate market.

Living in the heart of Downtown doesn’t mean you have to live in a high-rise apartment…unless you want to! The City of Oaks has plenty of single family homes, condos and townhomes to choose from, and many of them come with some amazing amenities. Some favorite spots around Downtown include Beasley’s Chicken + Honey and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.

Glenwood South

On the hunt for a trendy neighborhood with tons of unique and historic homes? Glenwood South was once Raleigh’s warehouse district, but recent redevelopment efforts have turned it into a destination of its own.

Go ahead—take a drive through Glenwood South to see what all the fuss is about. Homes here are a bit more affordable, and you’ll also gain access to a variety of nightlife, art studios, and progressive restaurants. Locals love heading to the Raleigh Beer Garden or enjoying a great meal at Sushi Blues Cafe.

Stonehenge

Nestled into the streets of North Raleigh, Stonehenge is a relatively new neighborhood that offers both suburban charm and city convenience. This upscale community features a vast selection of newer homes, as well as a swim and racquet club.

Stonehenge is ideal for any type of buyer, but it’s especially convenient for professionals working in the Research Triangle Park or retirees looking to settle down. In fact, there are a wide variety of active adult communities just nearby, including Abbotswood at Stonehenge and Springmoor.

Brier Creek’s crown jewel is the Brier Creek Country Club, which features both affordable condos and multi-million dollar estates. This Arnold Palmer-designed course offers one of the finest lifestyle in Raleigh, and members can even take advantage of all the club’s stellar amenities.

Mordecai

On the hunt for a historic home? Mordecai is one of Raleigh’s oldest neighborhoods, and it was even the birthplace of President Andrew Johnson. Here, you’ll find plenty of no-frills eateries, tons of greenways, and an unbeatable charm that you simply can’t replicate.

If you’re planning your first visit, be sure to check out the Mordecai Historic Park. This 3.2 acre green space features the Mordecai House, which is thought to be Raleigh’s oldest property. Don’t forget to take a trolley tour around the neighborhood, too…you might even spot next dream home!
